A reflective solo piano set of musical themes exploring ideas of home and paying homage to inward journeys. Created and refined over a decade, the music deals with the human condition, finding resonance across the globe.
TINCTURES
A duo from Bangalore and Berlin that explores the nature of consonance and dissonance on piano and guitar: Together, Nishad Pandey (gt) and Aman Mahajan (pn) constitute a compositional and improvisational laboratory creating lush and intricate sound-worlds through tinctures of jazz, imagination, European and Indian classical music, miscellaneous contemporary influences, and aesthetic, literary and mathematical concepts.
RADHA THOMAS & AMAN MAHAJAN
If you’re an Indian jazz lover there’s little chance you’ve not heard of Radha Thomas and Aman Mahajan. Though they perform regularly in various configurations, a well-kept secret is their delicate and nuanced duo, where Mahajan and Thomas seem to flow in and out of each others’ souls seamlessly. Their music is original, yet familiar. Strains of jazz intertwine with a hint of Indian music and some solid improvisation to provide an intricate, technically complex and fulfilling experience, even for the non-casual listener.
MYSTIK VIBES
A dynamic cross-cultural trio based in Bangalore, comprising of Hindustani tabla player / percussionist Muthu Kumar, Carnatic flautist Amith Nadig and contemporary pianist Aman Mahajan.
